Sarasota Approves Pineapple Square Development

Sarasota city commissioners approved the 13-story mixed use development in downtown Sarasota. Construction on Pineapple Square, the $200 million collection of condos, shops and parking is slated to begin in March. The development has 157 condos, 350 public parking spaces and 86,000 square feet of retail space. The development will be built in an area bounded by Pineapple Avenue and First Street on both sides of Lemon Avenue.
